• The moisture content should be less than 14% during season and less than 12% during later months
• The maximum number of grains can be 360 in 100 grams
• The material should be fungus free, dunkey free and powder free
• The corn should not be immature and should be in one piece
• The material should not be preserved using thyrum

Suguna’s Corn Procurement Division has engineered the scientific methods of storage and is aiming at storing around 500000 tons of corn in the year 2009-10.
